SWEATPANTS + DENIM = JOGGER JEANS

When it comes to pants, I'm a bit of a purist or a conservative as you may say. The only styles that I  do appreciate before were straight cut and loose fit, but since my "then close friend" had encouraged me to be adventurous in my denim selection and showed me different kinds of silhouette. I found myself really digging different cuts & different styles.

This 2011, break away from the norm. Ditch those skinny jeans (yes, it was the ultimate fashion statement of 2009 but you do have to admit that if you don't have the body and legs of Francisco Lachowski they  really don't look good on you) they’re out as in over and they're way too metro. What's in this current season? Men's cuffed jeans! The style was inspired by the Tokyo’s underground subcultures and a fresh attitude to an otherwise tired and drab denim world. These bad boys are trendy, comfy and daring. The modern interpretation of slim-fit sweatpants slash jeans which comes complete with an elasticated waist band; cuffed ankles and jogger style draw tie detail. Best worn with trainers, high tops for a sporty look or a rugged pair of booties for that edgy avant-garde look (think of Balmain Homme S/S 2011 menswear).

One of the most enduring things in fashion is denim. It is a key piece in every man's wardrobe. Depending on the color and wash, it can be paired with practically any top, jacket or pair of shoes. Jeans are a style staple that can be dressed up or down, worn day in and day out.

Do bear in mind that when it comes to jeans selection, it is important to choose a style that suits your individual body shape rather than what is in fashion. Having a pair of classic jeans that flatter your figure is much more important than owning on trend jeans. There is a style of jeans to suit all body types and this can be decided by a simple process of elimination.
